CNS Healthcare and its Crisis Intervention Team (CIT), in collaboration with community partners and social service agencies, host an annual resource event. The event supports equitable access to medical and behavioral healthcare and includes health screenings and benefit registration. Over the last 10 years, we have reached 5000+ homeless individuals in the Detroit Area.
Through this event, Detroit’s homeless population is provided with the basic necessities of everyday life such as food, warm clothing, coats, hats, gloves, dental care kits, and hygiene kits. In addition to these items, CIT also provides onsite services such as applying for cash assistance, Medicaid, and State Emergency Relief Assistance. Individuals can also get employment services through Goodwill Industries and Salvation Army.
